At VALUE ADDED Inc, our mission is to add value to the lives of people with developmental disabilities, the communities in which they live, and the people who support them.
Through Individual Supported Employment, we help Individuals move into the community job market. A Job Developer helps Individuals find, apply for and get a community job. Then Job Coaches support the Individual on the job with communication, following instructions and adjusting to the routines of the new job.
Sue Z Q's Thrift Store is our Community Employment Path training site. Here Individuals learn soft skills to help them succeed in a community job. Also, Job Exploration experiences launch from here.
We support people to live in their own homes thru both Supported Living and Attendant Care services. Individuals receive help with ADLs and IADLs as needed and identified in their ISPs. This includes errands and fun activities in the community and beyond.
Activities may include local shopping, lunch out, picnicking at a park, swimming at the lake, fishing, hiking, a concert, searching the hills for wildlife, or other more involved activities like bowling and a movie in Baker City, a trip to the Elgin Opera House for a play or a visit to Zoo Boise. We are going to the Oregon Coast and Portland Zoo this summer.
We help Individuals access our community thru Day Support Activities. Individuals make plans with the DSA Manager and staff is scheduled for fun activities near and not so near. Activities may include local shopping, lunch out, picnicing at a park, swimming at the lake, fishing, hiking, a concert, searching the hills for wildlife, or other more involved activities like bowling and a movie in Baker City, a trip to the Elgin Opera House for a play or a visit to Zoo Boise.
